  1. 1. On aircraft fuel systems : conceptual design and modeling

    Author : Hampus Gavel; Petter Krus; Johan Ölvander (Andersson); Dieter Scholz; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Aircraft; morphological matrix; simulation; Saab; Gripen; Construction engineering; Konstruktionsteknik;

    Abstract : The largest and most important fluid system in an aircraft is the fuel system. Obviously, future aircraft projects involve the design of fuel system to some degree. In this project design methodologies for aircraft fuel systems are studied, with the aim to shortening the system development time. READ MORE

  2. 2. Affect as a Component of Perceived Sound and Vibration Quality in Aircraft

    Author : Daniel Västfjäll; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; comfort; sound quality; evaluations; affective reactions; preference; interior aircraft sounds; propeller aircraft;

    Abstract : The concept of product sound quality is becoming an integral component of product development and design. The research presented in this thesis test the notion that affective reactions (i.e. positive-negative feelings) are a major determinant of perceived sound quality. READ MORE

  3. 3. A few aspects of aircraft noise

    Author : Crispin Dickson; Shafiquzzaman Khan; Mendel Kleiner; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; paired comparison; sorting based paired comparison; sorting algorithms; mergesort; quicksort; aircraft sound synthesis; aircraft noise; sound quality; tonal effects; angle positions; flight conditions; methods of equalization; cognition; Acoustics; Akustik;

    Abstract : A few aspects of aircraft noise were evaluated. These were (i) methods of subjective evaluations, (ii) effects of equalization and (iii) the effects of cognitive aspects.In the first paper, sorting algorithms were used instead of conventional paired comparison method in order to reduce the number of pairs in the evaluation of subjective judgments. 4. 4. Aircraft Systems Modeling : Model Based Systems Engineering in Avionics Design and Aircraft Simulation

    Author : Henric Andersson; Petter Krus; Olof Johansson; Fredrik Berglund; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : MBSE; MBD; Avionics; Simulation; TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIKVETENSKAP;

    Abstract : Aircraft developers like other development and manufacturing companies, are experiencing increasing complexity in their products and growing competition in the global market. One way to confront the challenges is to make the development process more efficient and to shorten time to market for new products/variants by using design and development methods based on models.
