6. Quantum Chemical Studies of Radical Cation Rearrangement, Radical Carbonylation, and Homolytic Substitution Reactions
Abstract : Quantum chemical calculations have been performed to investigate radical cation rearrangement, radical carbonylation, and homolytic substitution reactions of organic molecules. The rearrangement of the bicyclopropylidiene radical cation to the tetramethyleneethane radical cation is predicted to proceed with stepwise disrotatory opening of the two rings. READ MORE

7. Theoretical Studies of Ground and Excited State Reactivity
Abstract : To exemplify how theoretical chemistry can be applied to understand ground and excited state reactivity, four different chemical reactions have been modeled. The ground state chemical reactions are the simplest models in chemistry. To begin, a route to break down halomethanes through reactions with ground state cyano radical has been selected. READ MORE

8. Living in times of climate change. Weather-related understandings, realities, and entanglements among Guarani people in the Bolivian Chaco
Abstract : Since climate change became an issue of public concern worldwide, the weather has attracted increasing attention and come to stand as a common ground for joint action between Indigenous people and governmental and non-governmental actors in the Bolivian Chaco. Despite becoming a common cause, the management of weather through mitigation and adaptation strategies takes place under ontological differences and power imbalances. READ MORE

In the first part, four theories of liberty and power – those of Kant, Locke, J. READ MORE
