  1. 1. Transport and environment incentive policy instruments : effects and interactions

    University dissertation from Örebro : Örebro universitet

    Author : Xing Liu; Örebro universitet.; [2013]
    Keywords : SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Congestion pricing; Equity effects; Modal choice; Social marginal cost; Externalities; Transport taxation; Carbon tax; Carbon leakage; Computable General Equilibrium Model; VTTS; Simultaneous decision model; Random utility model; Logistics cost minimization; Additionality; Klimp; Climate subsidy program; Subsidy; CDM; Business Studies; Företagsekonomi;

    Abstract : This dissertation studies issues related to the evaluation of the effects and interactions of transport and environmental incentive policy instruments. Essay 1: Green cars sterilize congestion charges: a model analysis of the reduced impact of Stockholm road tolls calibrates a modal-choice model with data from the Stockholm road toll and uses it to study the sensitivity of congestion toll effects to some seemly subtle changes in the toll system design and external circumstances. 2. 2. Correlated random effects models for clustered survival data

    University dissertation from Örebro : Örebro universitet

    Author : Frank Eriksson; Göteborgs universitet.; Gothenburg University.; [2011]
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Survival analysis; frailty model; competing risks; random effects; case-cohort; routine register; semiparametric; competing risks; case-cohort; semiparametric; Survival analysis; random effects; routine register; frailty model;

    Abstract : Frailty models are frequently used to analyse clustered survival data in medical contexts. The frailties, or random effects, are used to model the association between individual survival times within clusters. READ MORE

    Abstract : This dissertation considers Small Area Estimation with a main focus on estimation and prediction for repeated measures data. The demand of small area statistics is for both cross-sectional and repeated measures data. READ MORE

  5. 5. Estimating Interviewer Effects in Sample Surveys Some Contributions

    University dissertation from Stockholm : Statistiska institutionen

    Author : Peter Lundquist; Stockholms universitet.; [2006]
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Response variance; survey nonsampling error; interviewer effects; interpenetration; power; SOCIAL SCIENCES Statistics; computer and systems science Statistics; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP Statistik; data- och systemvetenskap Statistik;

    Abstract : This thesis focuses on measurement errors that could be ascribed to the interviewers. To study interviewer variability a measurement error model is formulated which makes a clear distinction between three sources of randomness: the sample selection, interviewer assignment, and interviewing.
