  2. 2. Dopamine receptors in the rat brain

    Author : Mi Hillefors-Berglund; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Keywords : Dopamine D2 receptors; Dopamine D3 receptors; Rat; Autoradiography; [3H]7-OH-DPAT; [3H]PD 128907; Caudate-putamen; Subcortical limbic area; Islands of Calleja; CGS 21680; Toluene; Neurotensin; Asphyxia; Aging; Magnesium; GTP;

    Abstract : Dopamine receptors belong to a large superfamily of G protein-coupled receptors and consist of the D1, D2, D3, D4, and D5 receptors. The D2, D3, and D4 receptors belong to the D2 receptor family which is characterized by having a large third cytoplasmic loop and a short C-terminus projecting into the cytosol, and by inhibiting the enzyme adenylyl cyclase. 3. 3. Immuno Gene Therapy of Rat Brain Tumors with interferon-gamma transfected glioma cells

    Author : Edward Visse; Neurokirurgi; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Neurology; transplantation; serologi; Immunologi; Immunotherapy; Rat brain tumor; Interferon-gamma; isograft rejection; tumor infiltrating lymphocytes; Immunization; Immunology; serology; neuropsychology; neurophysiology; Neurologi; neuropsykologi; neurofysiologi;

    Abstract : Immunotherapy is a new promising approach in cancer treatment. In the future, it will hopefully offer an alternative to existing brain tumors treatments, which are unable to cure. We have established an experimental, low immunogenic, brain tumor model in the rat. READ MORE

  4. 4. Anabolic Androgenic Steroids : Effects on Neuropeptide Systems in the Rat Brain

    Author : Mathias Hallberg; Fred Nyberg; Pierre Le Grevès; James Zadina; Uppsala universitet; []
