  1. 1. Recharging Future Mobility : Understanding Digital Anticipatory UX through Car Ethnographies

    Author : Thomas Lindgren; Vaike Fors; Magnus Bergquist; Martin Berg; Robert Broström; Marc Hassenzahl; Högskolan i Halmstad; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Anticipatory; User Experience; Design Ethnography; Entanglement; Digitalisation;

    Abstract : Cars have created many positive experiences for people by providing them freedom of mobility, exciting driving thrills and status in society. However, cars are also known to create problems such as pollution, traffic congestion and accidents. READ MORE

  2. 2. Solar Colletors Combined with Ground-Source Heat Pumps in Dwellings - Analyses of System Performance

    Author : Elisabeth Kjellsson; Avdelningen för Byggnadsfysik; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; heating in dwellings; TRNSYS simulations; solar collectors; ground-source heat pumps; ground heat;

    Abstract : The use of ground-source heat pumps for heating buildings and domestic hot water in dwellings is increasing rapidly in Sweden. The heat pump extracts heat from the ground by a U-pipe in a vertical borehole. In order to reduce the electricity demand in the system, the combination with solar collectors is introduced. 3. 3. The influence of climate and permafrost on catchment hydrology

    Author : Emma Johansson; Georgia Destouni; Sean Carey; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Hydrology; Periglacial; Greenland; Forsmark; Talik; Permafrost Hydrology; Hydrology; hydrologi;

    Abstract : The cycling of water in the landscape is influenced by climate change on different time scales and in different directions regarding warming or cooling trends. Along with a changing climate, also the landscape and subsurface conditions, such as permafrost extent, may change in a long-term perspective. READ MORE

  4. 4. Design Aspects of Inductive Power Transfer Systems for Electric Vehicle Charging

    Author : Daniel Pehrman; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; stray field measurements; shielding; electric vehicle charging; inductive power transfer; full-bridge resonant inverter; finite element method FEM ; series-parallel compensation; coupled inductors; series-series compensation; silicon carbide;

    Abstract : During the last decade the transition towards electric propelled vehicles has had an upswing and electric vehicle (EV) sales has increased steadily. This is much due to legislations on lowering emissions but also due to lower total cost of ownership. READ MORE

  5. 5. Guiding of highly charged ions through insulating nanocapillaries

    Author : Hongqiang Zhang; Reinhold Schuch; Amine Cassimi; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Physics; Fysik; Atomic physics; Atomfysik; fysik; Physics;

    Abstract : This thesis contains experimental work on guiding of highly charged ions through insulating nanocapillaries. We have studied the time evolution of angular distributions of transmitted ions under well defined initial conditions: already charged, as well as fully discharged nanocapillaries, by using a two-dimensional position sensitive Micro Channel Plate detector with a data acquisition system working in event mode.
