16. Sigma-delta based techniques for future multi-standard wireless radios
Abstract : Improvements in process technology and design innovations have resulted in compact and cost effective digital baseband solutions. The radio part, however, has remained a bottleneck in terms of chip area and power consumption as the feature size of analog devices does not directly benefit from scaling. READ MORE

17. Adaptation in multiple input multiple output systems with channel state information at transmitter
Abstract : This thesis comprises two parts: the first part presents channel-adaptive techniques to achieve high spectral efficiency in a single user multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) system; the second part exhibits a programmable and reconfigurable software-defined-radio orkbench(SDR-WB) in the Matlab/Octave environment that accommodates a variety of wireless applications. In an attempt to achieve high spectral efficiency, an adaptive modulation technique is applied at the transmitter to vary the data rate depending on the channel state information (CSI). READ MORE

18. CMOS circuits for digital RF systems
Abstract : This thesis describes some high performance CMOS circuits and architectures developed for digital signal processing of Radio Frequency (RF) signals. Experimental results are demonstrated in a generic radar jammer architecture. READ MORE

19. Efficient and Wideband Load Modulated Power Amplifiers for Wireless Communication
Abstract : The increasing demand for mobile data traffic has resulted in new challenges and requirements for the development of the wireless communication infrastructure. With the transition to higher frequencies and multi-antenna systems, radio frequency (RF) hardware performance, especially the power amplifier (PA), becomes increasingly important. READ MORE

20. Theory and Design of Efficient Active Load Modulation Power Amplifiers
Abstract : The increasing demand for mobile data traffic has put new challenges and requirements for the development of the wireless communication infrastructure. The performance of the RF power amplifier (PA) is, in particular, of great importance, since it is the key building block for microwave transmitters in base stations and radio link equipment.
