  1. 16. Early Palaeozoic jawed polychaetes with focus on polychaetaspids and ramphoprionids from the Silurian of Gotland, Sweden

    Author : Mats Eriksson; Berggrundsgeologi; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; fysisk geografi; Geologi; physical geography; Geology; chemistry; palaeobiogeography; palaeoecology; taxonomy; apparatus reconstructions; Silurian; Recent; Ordovician; early Palaeozoic; scolecodonts; Annelida; polychaeta;

    Abstract : Jawed polychaete annelid worms were abundant and diverse in the early Palaeozoic seas and their jaws (scolecodonts) are common microfossils in sedimentary rocks of that age. Despite their abundance, relatively little work has been focused on these fossils. READ MORE

  3. 18. Marine oolites as proxies for palaeoenvironmental reconstructions during extinction events

    Author : Ingrid Urban; Berggrundsgeologi; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Ooids; Permian-Triassic boundary; Triassic-Jurassic Boundary; Arabian Platform; Southern Alps; palaeoenvironmental reconstruction;

    Abstract : At present time, it has been stated that “Human activities, principally through emissions of greenhouse gases, have unequivocally caused global warming, with global surface temperature reaching 1.1°C above 1850–1900 in 2011–2020”. READ MORE

  4. 19. Pedicled and free TRAM flaps in breast reconstructions : a comparative study

    Author : Åsa Edsander-Nord; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Keywords : breast reconstruction; TRAM; pedicled flap; free flap; microdialysis; monitoring; flap circulation; flap metabolism; glucose; lactate; glycerol; abdominal muscles; trunk muscle strength; KIN-COM; quantitative sensory testing; tactile perception threshold; thermal perception threshold; breast volume; thermoplastic; quality of life; SF-36; esthetic evaluation; applanation tonometry;

    Abstract : The transverse rectus abdominis musculocutaneous (TRAM) flap is frequently used when autologous tissue is desired for breast reconstruction, and it can be transferred pedicled or free. The pedicled TRAM flap is elevated as a lower transverse abdominal flap with the rectus abdominis muscle attached in the epigastric area, by which means the deep superior epigastric vessels nourish the flap. 5. 20. Reconstructions of historical metal emissions and their dispersion in the environment

    Author : Mats Eklund; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; INTERDISCIPLINARY RESEARCH AREAS; TVÄRVETENSKAPLIGA FORSKNINGSOMRÅDEN;

    Abstract : A material flow perspective has been applied in the study of the emission, immission and dispersion of heavy metals from three historical point sources in activity during the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries, with the aim of assessing the duration of pollution. The companies studied are Lovers alumworks (1723-1840), Atvidaberg copperworks (1750-1900) and NIFE-Jungner in Fliseryd (1910-1974), all situated in south-eastern Sweden. READ MORE
