  1. 1. Heterogeneous Degradation and Recyclability of PP Studied by Imaging Chemiluminescence

    University dissertation from KFS AB

    Author : Mikael Hamskog; [2006]
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Teknik; Technological sciences; recyclability; mapping; surface; heterogeneity; heterogeneous; evaporation; ageing; hamamatsu; russel; ICL; CL; Irganox 1010; Irganox 1076; oxidation; hydroperoxide; radical; carbonyl; luminescence; chemiluminescence; imaging chemiluminescence; recycling; stabilization; polypropylene; degradation;

    Abstract : Oxidative degradation is a serious threat to long-term use and recyclability of polymers. Successful recycling of polymeric quality products requires characterization of the polymer material after reprocessing and use. READ MORE

  2. 2. Catalytic reactions with palladium supported on mesocellular foam Applications in hydrogenation, isomerization, and C-C bond forming reactions

    University dissertation from Stockholm : Department of Organic Chemistry, Stockholm University

    Author : Anuja Nagendiran; Jan-Erling Bäckvall; Shu Kobayashi; [2015]
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Mesocellular foam; Heterogeneous palladium catalysis; nanopalladium; Organic Chemistry; organisk kemi;

    Abstract : The major part of this thesis concerns the development of catalytic methodologies based on palladium nanoparticles immobilized on aminopropyl-functionalized siliceous mesocellular foam (Pd0-AmP-MCF). The catalytic activity of the precursor to the nanocatalyst, PdII-AmP-MCF is also covered by this work. READ MORE

  3. 3. Transition metal-catalysis: Applications of dynamic kinetic resolution in total synthesis and developments of novel methodologies using heterogeneous Pd catalysts

    University dissertation from Stockholms universitets förlag

    Author : Anuja Nagendiran; Stockholms universitet.; [2013]

    Abstract : The first part of the thesis describes a general and efficient route for the enantioselective synthesis of various α-substituted ketones and their corresponding lactones. The two key steps in this synthesis are the ruthenium and CALB-catalyzed dynamic kinetic resolution (DKR) which provided the exocyclic acetates in high yields and excellent enantioselectivity and the subsequent Cu-catalyzed α-allylic substitution giving the corresponding α-substituted products with inversed stereochemistry in high yields. 4. 4. Environmental Assessment of Materials, Components and Buildings Building Specific Considerations, Open-loop Recycling, Variations in Assessment Results and the Usage Phase of Buildings

    University dissertation from Institutionen för byggnader och installationer

    Author : Mathias Borg; KTH.; [2001]
    Keywords : Life cycle assessment; Building materials and components; Buildings and constructions; Allocation; Result variation; Usage phase; Energy demand;

    Abstract : The building sector is a major contributor to theenvironmental loads generated by the society. The recognitionof this fact by the sector and a general strive toward asustainable society have lead to afocus on different toolsthat can be used to enhance the environmental performance ofthe sector and the society.
