12. Degradation Mechanisms of Heat Resistant Steel at Elevated Temperatures : In an Iron Ore Pelletizing Industry
Abstract : This thesis focuses on the different degradation mechanisms of the stainless steel in a travelling grate in a Grate-Kiln iron ore pellet indurator. The travelling grate is a conveyor belt that transports green-body pellets to a rotary kiln while the pellets are being dried and pre-heated to a temperature of 900-1100 °C by recycled hot air. 13. Mechanical and thermal properties of recycled WEEE plastic blends
Abstract : Electronic waste is the fastest growing waste stream today, and the recycling of the plastics from waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) has attracted great attention recently for environmental reasons and to comply with the European Union’s (EUs) WEEE Directive. The plastics fraction in WEEE is between 20 and 35 weight % (wt%). READ MORE

14. Insulation materials in district heating pipes : Environmental and thermal performance of polyethylene terephthalate and polyurethane foam
Abstract : District heating can contribute to increased energy efficiency in society. The environmental impact can be reduced by minimising the heat losses in the district heating pipes during distribution of the heat to the customers. READ MORE
