1. Automatic Tuning of PID Controllers Based on Asymmetric Relay Feedback
Abstract : This thesis presents an improved version of the classic relay autotuner. The proposed autotuner uses an asymmetric relay function to better excite the process in the experiment phase. The improved excitation provides the possibility to obtain better models and hence better tuning, without making the autotuner more complicated or time consuming. READ MORE

2. Conversational Writing : A Multidimensional Study of Synchronous and Supersynchronous Computer-Mediated Communication
Abstract : This study is a linguistic investigation of two genres of computer-mediated communication (CMC), namely two modes of conversational writing: ‘Internet relay chat’ (synchronous CMC) and ‘split-window ICQ chat’ (supersynchronous CMC). The study employs Douglas Biber’s multifeature multidimensional methodology, taking into account the six dimensions of textual variation in English identified in his 1988 book Variation across speech and writing (i. 5. Sensing and Control of Dynamical Systems Over Networks
Abstract : Rapid advances in sensing, computing, and wireless technologies have led to significant interest in the understanding and development of wireless networked control systems. Networked control systems consist of spatially distributed agents such as plants (dynamical systems), sensors, and controllers, that interact to achieve desired objectives. READ MORE
