1. Legg-Calvé-Perthes´ disease. Synovitis, cartilage, remodeling
Abstract : This thesis evaluates and correlates the findings in a series of children with Legg-Calvé-Perthes´ Disease at the Departments of Orthopedics, University Hospitals in Lund, Sweden and Odense, Denmark during 1984-1993. It focuses on the importance of synovitis and its effect on the cartilage, on the shape of the femoral head in the early phases of LCPD and on femoral head remodeling after proximal femoral varus derotation osteotomy. 2. Characterization of fibroblast phenotypes in human airway remodeling
Abstract : Wound healing that precedes scar formation may be unbalanced under pathological conditions leading to structural changes of the tissue. At the moment, the mechanisms behind this unbalance are unclear. When these changes occur in internal organs such as the lung, they may result in organ dysfunction with fatal consequences for the patient. READ MORE

3. Molecular mechanisms underlying the activation of ALC1 nucleosome remodeling
Abstract : Packaging DNA into chromatin represses essential DNA-based processes, such as transcription, DNA replication, and repair. To change the accessibility of DNA, cells have evolved a set of enzymes referred to as chromatin remodelers that act on the basic repeat unit of chromatin, the nucleosome. READ MORE

5. Chromatin Remodeling by BRG1 and SNF2H : Biochemistry and Function
Abstract : Chromatin is a highly dynamic, regulatory component in the process of transcription, repair, recombination and replication. The BRG1 and SNF2H proteins are ATP-dependent chromatin remodeling proteins that modulate chromatin structure to regulate DNA accessibility for DNA-binding proteins involved in these processes.
