  1. 1. Ammonium Feedback Control in Wastewater Treatment Plants

    Author : Linda Åmand; Bengt Carlsson; Peter Vanrolleghem; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; aeration control; ammonium feedback control; biological nitrogen removal; full-scale experiments; gain scheduling control; PI control; process control; repetitive control; wastewater treatment; Elektroteknik med inriktning mot reglerteknik; Electrical Engineering with specialization in Automatic Control;

    Abstract : The aeration process is often the single largest consumer of electricity in a wastewater treatment plant. Aeration in biological reactors provides microorganisms with oxygen which is required to convert ammonium to nitrate. Ammonium is toxic for aqueous ecosystems and contributes to eutrophication. 2. 2. On repetitive control

    Author : Gunnar Hillerström; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Reglerteknik; Control Engineering;

    Abstract : This thesis will concern control systems ability to enhance performance by repeating, while maintaining a stable and sufficiently fast closed loop performance. Iterative techniques can be divided into repetitive and learning control. READ MORE

  3. 3. Estimation-based iterative learning control

    Author : Johanna Wallén; Mikael Norrlöf; Svante Gunnarsson; Jian-Xin Xu; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Iterative learning control; estimation; industrial robotics; performance; Automatic control; Reglerteknik;

    Abstract : In many  applications industrial robots perform the same motion  repeatedly. One way of compensating the repetitive part of the error  is by using iterative learning control (ILC). The ILC algorithm  makes use of the measured errors and iteratively calculates a  correction signal that is applied to the system. READ MORE

  4. 4. Predictive control for autonomous driving : With experimental evaluation on a heavy-duty construction truck

    Author : Pedro Lima; Bo Wahlberg; Jonas Mårtensson; Alberto Bemporad; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Autonomous vehicles; model predictive control; automatic control; heavy-duty vehicles; mining; trucks; clothoids; Electrical Engineering; Elektro- och systemteknik;

    Abstract : Autonomous vehicles is a rapidly expanding field, and promise to play an important role in society. In more isolated environments, vehicle automation can bring significant efficiency and production benefits and it eliminates repetitive jobs that can lead to inattention and accidents. READ MORE

  5. 5. Iterative Learning Control : Analysis, Design, and Experiments

    Author : Mikael Norrlöf; Svante Gunnarsson; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Industrial robots; Robot programming; Robot modeling;

    Abstract : In many industrial robot applications it is a fact that the robot is programmed to do the same task repeatedly. By observing the control error in the different iterations of the same task it becomes clear that it is actually highly repetitive. READ MORE
