  1. 1. Enabling the user - Exploring methodological effects on user requirements elicitation

    Author : Pontus Wallgren; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; requirement elicitation; enable; user; product development;

    Abstract : This thesis concerns centred product development and more specifically how methodological choices in user requirements elicitation can enable the users to communicate their requirements to the product developers. During the development process choices have to be made concerning what methodology to use for eliciting user requirements. READ MORE

  2. 2. User Requirements Elicitation - A Framework for the Study of the Relation between User and Artefact

    Author : MariAnne Karlsson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; requirements elicitation; user requirement; user study;

    Abstract : The aim of this thesis is to gain a deeper understanding of the relation between the user and the technical artefact and, further, how this relation can be studied for the formulation and assessment of user requirements. A tentative framework for the study of the user-artefact relation has been derived from adapted theory and experiences from seven empirical studies. READ MORE

  3. 3. Designing Trustworthy Autonomous Systems

    Author : Piergiuseppe Mallozzi; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; System Trustworthiness; Reactive Synthesis; Monitoring and enforcement; Assume-Guarantee Contracts; Runtime verification; Autonomous Systems; Formal Verification; Reinforcement Learning;

    Abstract : The design of autonomous systems is challenging and ensuring their trustworthiness can have different meanings, such as i) ensuring consistency and completeness of the requirements by a correct elicitation and formalization process; ii) ensuring that requirements are correctly mapped to system implementations so that any system behaviors never violate its requirements; iii) maximizing the reuse of available components and subsystems in order to cope with the design complexity; and iv) ensuring correct coordination of the system with its environment. Several techniques have been proposed over the years to cope with specific problems. READ MORE

  4. 4. An approach to systems engineering tool data representation and exchange

    Author : Erik Herzog; Anders Törne; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; engineering processes; information systems; data exchange; data representation; COTS; Information technology; Informationsteknologi;

    Abstract : Over the last decades computer based tools have been introduced to facilitate systems engineering processes. There are computer based tools for assisting engineers in virtually every aspect of the systems engineering process from requirement elicitation and analysis, over functional analysis, synthesis, implementation and verification. 5. 5. Analytical tools and information-sharing methods supporting road safety organizations

    Author : Imad Abugessaisa; Erland Jungert; Kenneth Asp; Åke Sivertun; Josef Mikulik; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Visual data mining; STRADA; GLOBESAFE; Conceptual model; System thinking; Internet GIS; Computer science; Datavetenskap;

    Abstract : A prerequisite for improving road safety are reliable and consistent sources of information about traffic and accidents, which will help assess the prevailing situation and give a good indication of their severity. In many countries there is under-reporting of road accidents, deaths and injuries, no collection of data at all, or low quality of information. READ MORE
