1. Residual and critical saturation in geological storage of CO2 : results from field studies, pore-network modelling and laboratory experiments
Abstract : Geological storage of CO2 in deep saline aquifers is a promising technology in the combat to reduce the atmospheric emissions of CO2. A critical component in this solution is the estimation of aquifer’s in situ capability to store CO2. READ MORE

2. Peripheral airway function in asthma and cystic fibrosis. Measurements using inert gas washout methods
Abstract : It is increasingly recognised that asthma and cystic fibrosis (CF) frequently involves the peripheral airways. Characteristic features of abnormal peripheral airway function are uneven ventilation distribution and increased gas trapping. READ MORE

3. Residual Stress in Additive Manufacturing : Control using orientation and scan strategies
Abstract : Components with complex features that are designed with their function as a core aspect often are not viable to be manufactured with traditional methods. This has been a bottleneck in the past, leading to heavier parts with various sub-assemblies and a significant waste of material. READ MORE

4. Molecular gas in the galaxy M83 : Its distribution, kinematics, and relation to star formation
Abstract : The barred spiral galaxy M83 (NGC5236) has been observed in the 12CO J=1–0 and J=2–1 millimetre lines with the Swedish-ESO Submillimetre Telescope (SEST). The sizes of the CO maps are 100×100, and they cover the entire optical disk. The CO emission is strongly peaked toward the nucleus. READ MORE

5. Residual Trapping in Geological Storage of CO2 : Determination from Field Experiments and Data Analysis Using Numerical Modeling
Abstract : Geological storage of CO2 in deep saline aquifers is one of the methods to mitigate the release of this greenhouse gas into the atmosphere. The efficiency of this solution can be improved by better understanding of the relevant trapping processes, as well as by improving available injection techniques and developing tools for more accurate site characterization.
