1. Resonant states in modulation-doped heterostructures
Abstract : This thesis deals with the properties of donors placed inside or outside a heterostructure quantum well (QW). The focus of the investigation has been on the formation of resonant states, which are a hybridization of the discrete localized impurity levels and the continuous two-dimensional QW subbands. 2. Resonant States in Negative Ions
Abstract : Resonant states are multiply excited states in atoms and ions that have enough energy to decay by emitting an electron. The ability to emit an electron and the strong electron correlation (which is extra strong in negative ions) makes these states both interesting and challenging from a theoretical point of view. 3. Core-hole Clock Spectroscopy Using Hard X-rays : Exciting States in Condensed Matter
Abstract : This thesis is about how electrons move from one place to another, that is charge transfer dynamics. Charge transfer dynamics is an important property governing chemical and physical changes that form the base for many applications such as electronics, optoelectronics and catalysis. READ MORE

4. Reaction dynamics on highly excited states
Abstract : In this thesis I have performed theoretical studies on the reaction dynamics in few-atom molecules. In particular, I have looked at reaction processes in which highly excited resonant states are involved. READ MORE

5. Resonant Soft X-Ray Emission Spectroscopy of Vanadium Oxides and Related Compounds
Abstract : This thesis addresses the electronic structure of vanadium and copper oxides using soft X-ray absorption (SXA) spectroscopy and resonant inelastic X-ray scattering (RIXS) at high brightness synchrotron radiation sources. In RIXS incident photons, tuned to the energy of specific absorption resonances, are inelastically scattered leaving behind a low energy valence excitation in the system studied. READ MORE
