Abstract : Aim: Longitudinal analysis of verbal and nonverbal deficits and skills and their contribution to clinical presentation in children and adults with ESSENCE/Early Symptomatic Syndromes Eliciting Neurodevelopmental Clinical Examinations. Methods: Forty school children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) or both were contrasted with 21 similarly aged children from the community who had screened positive for language disorder (LD) at 30 months. 7. Child and Adult Witness Event Memory Reporting and Metamemory Capabilities : Social Aspects and Legal Professionals’ Opinions
Abstract : This dissertation focuses on aspects of the social context of child and adult eyewitness memory reports, along with their relation to report accuracy and metamemory performance. More specifically, it investigates the effects on memory reports and metamemory judgments of i) receiving feedback from co-witnesses, ii) being probed for further eventmemory reports, and iii) retelling eventmemory contents. 8. Speech and language in patients with an isolated cleft palate and/or 22q11 deletion syndrome
Abstract : Aims: To study speech with regard to articulation and perceptual speech symptoms related to velopharyngeal dysfunction, intelligibility and language ability in patients born with a) an isolated cleft palate with or without additional malformations/syndromes, or b) 22q11 deletion syndrome (22q11 DS).Materials and methods: Fifty-three patients (aged 3-10 years) born with an isolated cleft palate and 30 non-cleft children participated in studies I and II, and 65 consecutively referred patients with 22q11 DS confirmed by a FISH-test participated in studies III and IV. Abstract : You Told Me is a practice-based research project and consists of three video biographies (the Who is…? series), and two video essays (Kumiko, Johnnie Walker & the Cute (2007), Madame & Little Boy (2009), an introduction with a contextualization and methodology of the field, and three essays. The dissertation is an observation and analysis of certain functions and meanings of narration and narratives in contemporary art, as well as being an experiment with roles, methods, actions, and narrative functions in an artistic medium – the video essay.
