  1. 16. Deactivation of commercial three-way catalysts: effect of the thermal ageing

    Author : Anna Fathali; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; BET; methane production from E85; NOx reduction by methane; Rhodium; TWC; OSC; Automotive exhaust control; Palladium; Aging;

    Abstract : This licentiate thesis is a summary of my study on thermal deactivated commercial threeway catalysts (TWCs). The experiments were performed using gasoline and a E85 fuelmixture of 85 vol.% ethanol and 15 vol.% gasoline. READ MORE

  2. 17. Deactivation of commercial three-way catalysts: Experimental and theoretical studies

    Author : Anna Fathali; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; car exhaust; three-way catalyst TWC ; alumina; fuel-cut; palladium; ; hydrocarbon cracking; ceria; deactivation; oxygen storage capacity OSC ; rhodium; zirconia; sintering; monolith catalyst; catalysis;

    Abstract : This PhD thesis is a summary of my work with thermal deactivated commercial three way catalysts (TWCs). An examination of catalytic properties, before and after accelerated aging was performed, such as light-off temperature, specific surface area (BET), noble metal dispersion and oxygen storage capacity was performed. 3. 18. Development of sensitive EPR dosimetry methods

    Author : Håkan Gustafsson; Eva Lund; Anders Lund; Dag Rune Olsen; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Electron paramagnetic resonance EPR ; Formic acids; pharmacology; Lithium; Nickel; Radiometry; Rhodium; Pharmaceutical chemistry; Farmaceutisk kemi;

    Abstract : Electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) dosimetry using the well established dosimeter material alanine is a generally accepted dosimetric method for measurements of high absorbed doses. Alanine EPR dosimetry is however not sensitive enough for high precision measurements of low (< 5 Gy) absorbed doses using reasonably measurement times and small dosimeters. READ MORE

  4. 19. Structural Properties of Palladium-Manganese Alloys

    Author : Alexander J Jaworowski; Lunds universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; transition metal; structure; growth; adsorption; core level photoemission. scanning tunneling microscopy; fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy; Manganese; Palladium; Rhodium; Molybdenum; NO; CO; alloy; O; Physics; Fysik; Semiconductory physics; Halvledarfysik; Fysicumarkivet A:2001:Jaworowski;

    Abstract : Structural properties of adsorbed overlayers on well-defined single crystals and of Palladium-Manganese surface alloys formed on Pd(100) have been investigated using synchrotron-based photoemission, scanning tunneling microscopy and Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy. The experimental valence electronic structure of PdMn systems on Pd(100) is compared to density functional calculations (DFT). READ MORE

  5. 20. Phosphine ligands with triamine functionality - preparation and application in catalysis

    Author : Magnus Karlsson; Enheten för fysikalisk och teoretisk kemi; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Inorganic chemistry; water soluble; palladium; amphiphilic; rhodium; Oorganisk kemi;

    Abstract : Incorporation of the triamine, bis(2-diethylaminoethyl) amine as a side chain substituent on triphenylphosphine, (2S,4S)-4-diphenylphosphino-2-diphenylphosphino-methylpyrrolidine (PPM) or (R,R)-3,4-bis(diphenylphosphin)pyrrolidine (Pyrphos) gives the three new amphiphilic ligands N3P, N3PPM and N3-Pyrphos respectively. Because of the triamine functionality the distribution of the ligands and their complexes between water and an organic solvent is controlled by the pH of the aqueous phase. READ MORE
