  1. 1. Modeling Driver Behavior : A Control Theory Based Approach

    Author : Katja Vogel; Lars Åberg; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY;

    Abstract : The aim of the project, which led to this thesis, was to suggest a micro-level driver behavior model, which would allow estimating the effects of safety measures on road traffic safety. The empirical research on driver behavior should be conducted in urban areas, because they are much less explored than rural areas, even though most non-fatal accidents occur in urban areas. 2. 2. Developing a Problem Based Learning model for Internet-based teaching in academic oral health education

    Author : Nikos Mattheos; Malmö högskola; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Problem Based Learning; Datorstödd undervisning; Web-based learning; Problembaserad inlärning; Datorsimulering; Virtual Classroom; Multimedia i undervisningen; Dental Education; Internet-based Learning;

    Abstract : Problem Based Learning (PBL) has been fully or partly adopted by several medical and dental schools throughout the world, but only few attempts have been made to adjust this method to Distance Learning (DL) environments. It appears that the interaction demands of PBL could not be easily facilitated by the technologies used for DL in the past. READ MORE

  3. 3. Persuasive Prevention: Implementation of the AU Right of Intervention

    Abstract : This thesis explores the scope and limits of Article 4(h) of the AU Act in order to generate new thinking on, and contribute a fresh legal approach to, the implementation of the AU’s right to intervene under Article 4(h). While Article 4(h) intervention can be construed as enforcement by consent, it is not clear whether the UN Charter provides for enforcement action by consent to be outside the purview of Article 53(1) of the UN Charter. 4. 4. Incorporating the end-of-life aspect into product development : analysis and a systematic approach

    Author : Jörgen Furuhjelm; Jan-Gunnar Persson; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : It is evident that we face a major challenge to overcome the environmental problems associated with our consumption and production systems. The rate at which products flow through our society is steadily increasing and this leads to serious consequences in the form of accelerating depletion of the earth's resources and generation of enormous amounts of waste.
