1. A Study in RNA Bioinformatics : Identification, Prediction and Analysis
Abstract : Research in the last few decades has revealed the great capacity of the RNA molecule. RNA, which previously was assumed to play a main role only as an intermediate in the translation of genes to proteins, is today known to play many important roles in the cell in addition to that as a messenger RNA and transfer RNA, including the ability to catalyze reactions and gene regulations at various levels. 2. Ribosome and ribosomal RNA Structure : An experimental and computational analysis of expansion segments in eukaryotic ribosomal RNA
Abstract : Ribosomes are large ribonucleoprotein complexes which incorporate amino acids into peptide chains during translational process in all types of living cells. The eukaryotic ribosome is larger compared to its prokaryotic counterpart. READ MORE

3. Dynamics of protein folding and subunit interactions in assembly of the yeast mediator complex
Abstract : The Mediator complex was originally discovered in the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae and has since then been shown to be required for transcriptional regulation both in vitro and in vivo. The Mediator complex also stimulates basal, unregulated transcription and serves as a bridge by conveying signals from promoter-bound transcriptional regulatory proteins such as activators and repressors to the RNA Polymerase II general transcriptional machinery. 4. Protein Folding Studied by Site Directed Mutagenesis
Abstract : The N-terminal RNA binding domain of U1A has been shown to fold in a two-state process without accumulating any intermediates. U1A has a symmetrically curved chevron plot which seems to result mainly from changes of the transition state. READ MORE

5. Nucleolar Ribosome Assembly
Abstract : Ribosomes are macromolecular machines that are responsible for production of every protein in a living cell. Yet we do not know the details about how these machines are formed. The ribosome consists of four RNA strands and roughly 80 proteins that associate with each other in the nucleolus and form pre-ribosomal complexes. READ MORE
