  1. 11. Tunning Multicolor Light Emission in Lead-free Materials

    Author : Weidong Cai; Feng Gao; Jiajun Qin; Letian Dou; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Multicolor light emission; Chiral material; Color change under humidity; Lead-free organic and inorganic material; Incorporation of extra emission center; Leadfree double perovskite; Co-doping; Flerfärgad ljusemission; Kiralt material; Färgförändring under fukt; Blyfritt organiskt och oorganiskt material; Inkorporering av extra emissionscenter; Blyfri dubbel perovskit; Samdopning;

    Abstract : Perovskites are a class of compounds with the general formula ABX3 and becoming increasingly attractive recently. Because this kind of material possesses various advantages such as abundant raw materials, easy synthesis, excellent photoelectric properties, and short production process. READ MORE

  2. 12. Searching for causal effects of road traffic safety interventions : applications of the interrupted time series design

    Author : Carl Bonander; Ragnar Andersson; Finn Nilson; Claes Tingvall; Karlstads universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Causal inference; Repeated measures; Methodology; Econometrics; Injury Epidemiology; Vulnerable Road Users; Time series analysis; Risk- och Miljöstudier; Risk and Environmental Studies;

    Abstract : Traffic-related injuries represent a global public health problem, and contribute largely to mortality and years lived with disability worldwide. Over the course of the last decades, improvements to road traffic safety and injury surveillance systems have resulted in a shift in focus from the prevention of motor vehicle accidents to the control of injury events involving vulnerable road users (VRUs), such as cyclists and moped riders. 3. 13. Strong Light-Matter Coupling: the Road from Conventional to Cavity-Free Polaritons

    Author : Adriana Canales Ramos; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Fabry-Pérot microcavities; self-hybridized polaritons; Mie modes; Strong and ultrastrong coupling; Lorentz resonances; decay rates; cavity-free polaritons; Casimir force; 2D–crystals; plasmons; water droplets.; self-assembled microcavities;

    Abstract : The interaction between light and matter is fundamental in perceiving and understanding the world. The interaction is typically weak, meaning light only perturbs matter without changing its properties. READ MORE

  4. 14. Submicrometre aerosol emissions from sea spray and road traffic

    Author : Monica Mårtensson; Douglas Nilsson; Christer Johansson; Michael Smith; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Eddy covariance method; aerosol emissions; submicrometre sea salt parameterisation; primary marine organic aerosols; sea spray; road traffic emission factors; air-sea exchange; aerosol dynamics model; internal aerosol mixing; combustion aerosols; Atmosphere and hydrosphere sciences; Atmosfärs- och hydrosfärsvetenskap; atmosfärvetenskap; Atmospheric Sciences;

    Abstract : The uncertainty of the climate and health effects of aerosols is still large, one important reason being lack of knowledge of the primary emissions. This thesis combines laboratory and field experiments, and process modelling in an effort to better quantify the submicrometre aerosol emissions and to understand some of the processes in the atmosphere. 5. 15. Road surface characterization using near infrared spectroscopy

    Author : Johan Casselgren; Matti Kutila; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Spektroskopi; Väglagsklassificering; Friktion; Väglagskarakterisering; Experimental Mechanics; Experimentell mekanik;

    Abstract : This thesis presents a technology and method for classifying and characterizing different road conditions such as dry asphalt and asphalt covered with water, ice and snow. The method uses light sources of different wavelengths to illuminate the road surface and a detector to measure the reflected light from the road surfaces, dependent on how the surface have absorbed, scattered and polarized the light it is possible to classify the road condition.
