1. On interface modeling with emphasis on friction
Abstract : The general trend toward increased use of computer models and simulations during product development has led to a need for accurate and reliable product models. The function of many products relies on contact interfaces between interacting components. READ MORE

2. Interface modeling - friction and wear
Abstract : The general trend toward increased use of computer models and simulations during product development calls for accurate and reliable product models. The function of many products relies on contact interfaces between interacting components. Simulating the behavior of such products requires accurate models of both components and interfaces. 3. Thermally stable electrical contacts to 6H silicon carbide
Abstract : Silicon Carbide (SiC) are at present being developed for use in high temperature (≥ 500◦C) and high-power environments under which conventional semiconductors can hardly perform. Thermally stable electrical contacts are essential to the ability of SiC to function under such extreme conditions. READ MORE

4. Nonlinear Interaction Between Ultrasonic Waves and Cracks and Interfaces
Abstract : The subject of this thesis is the development of new ultrasound inspection techniques for detection of cracks that are smaller than the wavelength of the inspecting wave and the characterization of cracks in fluid-filled pipes as either surface-breaking or subsurface. The spectrum of the scattered field of a partially closed crack comprises harmonic components not expected to be found in the case of linear scatterers such as pores or inclusions. READ MORE

5. Numerical study of interface dynamics and phase change
Abstract : Multi-phase fluid flows are ubiquitous in natural phenomena and different industrial applications such as in food industry, the medical sector, heat exchangers, power generation systems, to name a few. Understanding the underlining physics of multi-phase flows proved to be a challenging task due to presence of sophisticated dynamics, including the evolution of the interface between any pair of phases, thermodynamics and possibility of phase change, interactions between the fluid phases and a solid phase, etc. READ MORE
