  1. 1. Non-porous membrane extractions in contemporary analysis

    Author : Jan Norberg; Centrum för analys och syntes; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; extracting syringe; micro-porous membrane extraction; supported liquid membrane; solvent free; selectivity; clean-up; enrichment; Sample preparation; automation; Analytical chemistry; Analytisk kemi;

    Abstract : To meet the desirable characteristic for sample preparation in contemporary, i. e. automation, high enrichment, clean-up, selectivity and essential solvent free techniques, the use of non-porous membrane extraction techniques is addressed. READ MORE

  2. 2. A Novel Miniaturised Dynamic Hollow-Fibre Liquid-Phase Micro-Extraction Method for Xenobiotics in Human Plasma Samples

    Author : Helena Hansson; Ulrika Nilsson; Bo Karlberg; Peter Haglund; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; sample clean-up; human blood plasma; hollow-fibre liquid phase microextraction; supported liquid membrane extraction; SLM; HF-LPME; sample preparation; bioanalysis; liquid-liquid extraction; Chemistry; Kemi; Analytical Chemistry; analytisk kemi;

    Abstract : Bioanalytical chemistry is a challenging field, often involving complex samples, such as blood, plasma, serum or urine. In many applications, sample cleanup is the most demanding and time-consuming step. READ MORE

  3. 3. Novel clean-up, concentration and laser desorption/ionization strategies for mass spectrometry

    Author : Mohammadreza Shariatgorji; Leopold Ilag; Juan Astorga-wells; Bernhard Spengler; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Mass spectrometry; ESI-MS; SALDI-MS; Electrocapture; Sample treatment; Analytical chemistry; Analytisk kemi; Analytical Chemistry; analytisk kemi;

    Abstract : Despite valuable advantages of mass spectrometry (MS) techniques they still have drawbacks that need to be overcome, notably their sensitivity to various kinds of interfering substances and associated difficulties involved in detecting signals from analytes present in trace quantities. Thus, high quality analytical data could be acquired by improving sample pre-treatment techniques and/or ionization methods to increase ionization yields and/or avoid the generation of unwanted ions.
