6. Techniques to Calculate Exact Inclusion Probabilities for Conditional Poisson Sampling and Pareto .pi.ps Sampling Designs
Abstract : This thesis consists of five papers and treats two finite population sampling methods, viz. the Conditional Poisson and the Pareto .pi.ps sampling schemes. READ MORE

7. The PET sampling puzzle : intelligent data sampling methods for positron emission tomography
Abstract : Much like a backwards computed Sudoku puzzle, starting from the completed number grid and working ones way down to a partially completed grid without damaging the route back to the full unique solution, this thesis tackles the challenges behind setting up a number puzzle in the context of biomedical imaging. By leveraging sparse signal processing theory, we study the means of practical undersampling of positron emission tomography (PET) measurements, an imaging modality in nuclear medicine that visualises functional processes within the body using radioactive tracers. 8. Spatial sampling and prediction
Abstract : This thesis discusses two aspects of spatial statistics: sampling and prediction. In spatial statistics, we observe some phenomena in space. Space is typically of two or three dimensions, but can be of higher dimension. READ MORE

9. Charge Sampling Circuits and A/D Converters - Theory and Experiments
Abstract : The analysis of general charge sampling technique is presented in this thesis. Charge sampling integrates input current instead of tracking input voltage to realize high speed and low voltage sampling. The analysis focuses on the performance of general charge sampling circuits for signal capture. READ MORE

10. Generalized Bandpass Sampling Receivers for Software Defined Radio
Abstract : Based on different sampling theorem, for example classic Shannon’s sampling theorem and Papoulis’ generalized sampling theorem, signals are processed by the sampling devices without loss of information. As an interface between radio receiver front-ends and digital signal processing blocks, sampling devices play a dominant role in digital radio communications. READ MORE
