11. Subsurface fluxes of mass and energy at the accumulation zone of Lomonosovfonna ice cap, Svalbard
Abstract : Glaciers cover ca 10% of the Earth's land and are found in the high altitudes and latitudes. They are important components of environmental systems due to the multiple feedbacks linking them with the atmosphere, hydrosphere and periglacial landscapes. READ MORE

12. Inverse modelling of GNSS multipath signals
Abstract : Measuring the world around us is necessary to observe and understand the changes that occur in our environment. A widely distributed network of measurement stations can help us to understand ongoing and predict future climate change. READ MORE

13. Shorelines of adaptation and fields of innovation : Emerging sustainability transformations in sea-level rise planning and the food system
Abstract : This licentiate thesis builds on the understanding that there is an urgent need for radical and systemic transformations towards sustainability in all parts of society, since current socio-ecological relations are highly unsustainable. The aim of the thesis is to explore emerging societal transformations towards strengthened sustainability through case studies within planning for sea-level rise and the food system, respectively. 14. In the wake of deglaciation - sedimentary signatures of ice-sheet decay and sea-level change : Studies from south-central Sweden and the western Arctic Ocean
Abstract : Lacustrine and marine sedimentary archives help unravel details concerning the withdrawal of large ice sheets and resulting sea-level changes during the last deglaciation (22 -11 kyr). In a series of four manuscripts, this PhD thesis investigates the sedimentological signatures from deglacial processes at three key locations in the northern hemisphere: (i) Lake Vättern (LV) in south-central Sweden, (ii) Herald Canyon (HC) in the western Chukchi Sea, and (iii) Mackenzie Trough (MT) on the westernmost edge of the Canadian Beaufort Shelf. 15. Arctic Climate and Water Change : Information Relevance for Assessment and Adaptation
Abstract : The Arctic is subject to growing economic and political interest. Meanwhile, its water and climate systems are in rapid transformation. Relevant and accessible information about water and climate is therefore vital to detect, understand and adapt to the changes. READ MORE
