1. Nanostructured Semiconductor Materials for Light Manipulation Functions
Abstract : Structuring of semiconductor materials is utilized in many optoelectronic devices, e.g, in order to make them more efficient, cost-effective, and/or to obtain specific wavelength-engineered responses. Semiconductor materials are widely used in optoelectronic devices due to their favorable optical and electric properties. READ MORE

2. Dye/Semiconductor Interfaces : An Electron Spectroscopic Study of Systems for Solar Cell and Display Applications
Abstract : The properties relevant for electron transfer processes between dye molecules and semiconductor substrates, titanium dioxide (TiO2) and zinc oxide (ZnO), have been studied by means of photoelectron spectroscopy, PES, near edge X-ray absorption spectroscopy, NEXAFS, and resonant photoemission, RPES.For dye-sensitized solar cells, the currently used dyes are ruthenium polypyridine complexes adsorbed to the semiconductor via carboxyl linker groups. 3. Fabrication and Photoelectrochemical Applications of II-VI Semiconductor Nanomaterials
Abstract : In this work we investigated fabrication of semiconductor nanomaterials and evaluated their potential for photo-chemical and photovoltaic applications. We investigated different II-VI semiconductor nanomaterial systems; (i) ZnO oriented nanowire arrays non-epitaxially grown from a substrate; and (ii) colloidal CdE (E=Te,Se,S) quantum structures synthesized by solution-based thermal decomposition of organo-metallic precursors. 4. Photochemical and Photoelectric Applications of II-VI Semiconductor Nanomaterials
Abstract : In this work we investigated fabrication of semiconductor nanomaterials and evaluated their potential for photo-chemical and photovoltaic applications. We investigated two different II-VI semiconductor nanomaterial systems; (i) ZnO oriented nanowire arrays non-epitaxially grown from a substrate; and (ii) colloidal CdTe nanotetrapods synthesized by solution-based thermal decomposition of organo-metallic precursors.
