6. A System of Systems View in Early Product Development : An Ontology-Based Approach
Abstract : The concept of system-of-systems is becoming increasingly common and relevant in many engineering applications. Today’s highly interconnected world entails that more and more systems have dependencies on other systems. READ MORE

7. Solar Irradiance Assessment in Agrivoltaic Systems : Understanding Photosynthetically Active Radiation Separation Models and Dynamic Crop Albedo Effect in Agrivoltaic Systems Modelling
Abstract : Agrivoltaics, also referred as agrivoltaic systems, present an appealing solution, owing to its dual land use and integrated food-energy system, for the shift to renewable energy. However, it raises concerns about the complex synergies and trade-offs between crop growth and solar photovoltaic panels. READ MORE

8. Between Political Party and Armed Group : Understanding Renamo as a Hybrid Party
Abstract : This thesis explores the concept of hybridity within the context of rebel-to-party transformation, with a particular focus on Renamo during the period of 2015-2017 in Mozambique. This timeframe was marked by a resurgence of organised systematic violence, disrupting the relative peace that had prevailed in Mozambique since 1992. READ MORE

9. On avoiding and completing colorings
Abstract : All of my papers are related to the problem of avoiding and completing an edge precoloring of a graph. In more detail, given a graph G and a partial proper edge precoloring φ of G and a list assignment L for every non-colored edge of G, can we extend φ to a proper edge coloring of G which avoids L? In Paper I, G is the d-dimensional hypercube graph Qd, a partial proper edge precoloring φ and a list assignment L must satisfy certain sparsity conditions. READ MORE

10. Preclinical tumor-immune modeling : For the identification of immunomodulatory drugs
Abstract : For a long time, the field of cancer research was dominated by a tumor cell-centric view. That, however, changed once it became recognized that medical cancer treatment is largely influenced by the combined effect exerted on both cancer and immune cells. READ MORE
