  1. 1. Chromatographic separation of wood constituents

    Author : Niklas Westerberg; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; biorefinery; mathematical modelling.; Norway spruce; separation; chromatography;

    Abstract : In a modern kraft pulp mill only about 45 % of the incoming wood is present in the pulp and it is mainly composed of cellulose. The remainder of the wood, which is dissolved in order to liberate the cellulose fibres, e.g., hemicellulose and lignin, ends up in the mill´s recovery boiler to recover the latent energy. READ MORE

  2. 2. Hepatocyte growth factor : Studies on local and systemic release and effects during infectious disease; in vivo and in vitro

    Author : Fariba Nayeri; Minoca Niste'r; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICINE; MEDICIN;

    Abstract : The interaction of mesenchymal and epithelial cells that occurs after organ injuries results in enhanced production of cytokines, such as hepatocyte growth factor (HGF). HGF is a glycoprotein with unique properties that contribute to wound healing after injuries. READ MORE

  3. 3. Wet Low-Intensity Magnetic Separation: Measurement methods and Modelling

    Author : Jan Stener; Holger Lieberwirth; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Mineralteknik; Mineral Processing;

    Abstract : In the mining industry, ferromagnetic particles (e.g. magnetite) are concentrated using wet low-intensity magnetic separation (LIMS). Mineral particles in suspension with water are pumped into the separator tank, and a magnetic concentrate is extracted by use of magnetic forces. READ MORE

  4. 4. Studies of the extracting agents 2,2':6',2''-terpyridine and 2,6-bis-(benzoxazolyl)-4-dodecyloxylpyridine : protonation constants and extraction of Am and Eu as function of pH and ionic medium

    Author : Sofie Andersson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : Am; nitrate complex formation; separation factor; actinide lanthanide separation; partitioning and transmutation; solvent extraction; Eu;

  5. 5. Separation of peptides by capillary electrophoresis : Application of chemometrics for evaluation of separation performance in micellar electrokinetic chromatography

    Author : Margrét Thorsteinsdóttir; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Pharmaceutical chemistry; Farmaceutisk kemi; Pharmaceutical chemistry; Farmaceutisk kemi;

    Abstract : The separation of enkephalin-related peptides and protein kinase A peptide substrates werestudied in micellar electrokinetic chromatography and compared with capillary zoneelectrophoresis. Special interest was focused on systems where the electroosmosis wasreversed in combination with neutral micellar agents. READ MORE
