6. Phase Distribution of Mixed Biopolymer Gels in Relation to Process Conditions
Abstract : The influence of various process parameters on the microstructure and rheological properties of pure and mixed gels of gelatin and whey proteins has been investigated. Gelatin is a cold-set protein and whey proteins are a group of thermo-set globular proteins. Depending on the charge present, whey proteins can form two types of gel structures. READ MORE

7. Energy Absorbing Material Concepts for Automotive Accident Injury Prevention
Abstract : Although automotive safety has experienced a rapiddevelopment during the last decades, traffic related accidentsrank very high in many countries in terms of cause of death.Statistics show that the head is the body region mostfrequently injured in motor vehicle accidents and the primarycause of death is head injuries. 8. Investigations of thermophysical properties of slags with focus on slag-metal interface
Abstract : The objective of this research work was to develop a methodology for experimentally estimating the interfacial properties at slag-metal interfaces. From previous experiments carried out in the division, it was decided to use surface active elements like sulfur or oxygen to trace any motion at the interface. READ MORE

9. Identification of Viscoelastic Materials by Use of Wave Propagation Methods
Abstract : Complex moduli and Poisson’s ratio have been estimated using extensional and torsional wave experiments. The data were used for assessment of linearity and isotropy of two polymers, polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) and polypropylene (PP). The responses of both materials were found to be close to linear and isotropic. READ MORE

10. Theoretical modeling of molar volume and thermal expansion
Abstract : Combination of the Calphad method and theoretical calculations provides new possibilities for the study of materials science. This work is a part of the efforts within the CCT project (Centre of Computational Thermodynamics) to combine these methods to facilitate modeling and to extend the thermodynamic databases with critically assessed volume data.
