6. Time dependent material properties of shotcrete for hard rock tunnelling
Abstract : In this thesis different mechanical properties for shotcrete (sprayed concrete) such as compression strength, bond strength, bending tensile strength, elastic modulus, free and restrained shrinkage as a function of its age was investigated. One of the main issues was to investigate the difference between ordinary cast concrete and shotcrete. READ MORE

7. Plastic Shrinkage Cracking In Concrete : Mitigation and Modelling
Abstract : Early-age (up to 24 hours after casting) cracking may become problematic in any concrete structure. It can have a negative influence on the aesthetics of the concrete structure, as well as decreasing the durability and serviceability by facilitating the ingress of harmful materials into the concrete bulk. 8. Quasi-instantaneous and Long-term Deformations of High-Performance Concrete with Some Related Properties
Abstract : This report outlines an experimental and numerical study on quasi-instantaneous and long-term deformations of High-Performance Concrete, HPC, with some related properties. For this purpose about two hundred small cylinders and about one thousand cubes of eight types of HPC were cast. The age at loading varied between 18h and 28 days. READ MORE

9. Cracking in Reinforced Concrete Structures Due to Imposed Deformations
Abstract : This thesis is concerned with modeling of the cracking process in reinforced concrete due to imposed deformations. Cracking is investigated both at early ages, during hydration, and at mature age when the final properties of the concrete are reached. READ MORE

10. Applications of Bayesian Econometrics to Financial Economics
Abstract : This PhD thesis consists of four separate papers. What these papers have in common is that Bayesian Econometrics, in combination with Markov chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) methods, is applied to study various problems in financial economics. READ MORE
