1. Transport Analytics Based on Cellular Network Signalling Data
Abstract : Cellular networks of today generate a massive amount of signalling data. A large part of this signalling is generated to handle the mobility of subscribers and contains location information that can be used to fundamentally change our understanding of mobility patterns. READ MORE

2. On the Design of Noncoherent Acoustic Underwater Communication
Abstract : The underwater domain is an environment hostile to humans due to the hydrostatic pressure that rapidly increases with water depth, which has led to underwater robotics becoming an emerging technological field with many commercial-, environmental-, and security-related applications. A major challenge to untethered autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) is communicating robot-to-robot and robot-to-topside operator since it must, in most cases, be done acoustically. READ MORE

3. The sounds of radio : on radio as an auditive means of communication
Abstract : The primary purpose of this doctoral thesis is to present a theoretical framework for analysis of communication through radio, taking the sounding dimension of the medium as a primary characteristic. My theoretical approach is manifold, but I explicitly use writings from the field of ethnomethodology/microsociology (linguistic communication) of Alfred Schutz (sociology of everyday life) and Gerhard Maletzke (mediated communication). 4. Overload control and performance evaluation in a Parlay/OSA environment
Abstract : To increase the pace of development and deployment of new services and applications in telecommunication networks, new service architectures have been proposed. Parlay/OSA is one of the proposals that has aroused most attention. READ MORE

5. DDRNoC: Dual Data-Rate Network-on-Chip
Abstract : Networks-on-Chip (NoCs) are becoming increasing important for the performance of modern multi-core system-on-chip. For various on-chip networks with virtual channel (VC) ow control, the slow control logic (VC and switch allocation logic) of the NoC routers limits the NoC clock period while their datapath (switch and link) possesses signifcant slack.
