6. Biological signature of HER2-positive breast cancer
Abstract : Human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) overexpressing breast cancers (HER2+ breast cancer) are associated with an aggressive disease course. This thesis is focused on improving the understanding of the biological signature of HER2+ breast cancer. READ MORE

7. Sensor and Signature Modeling for Aircraft Conceptual Development
Abstract : The aircraft design process has several phases, the first of which is conceptual design. In this phase, models describing an aircraft concept’s properties are used to evaluate its function and identify designs that meet given requirements. READ MORE

8. Phthalates in landfill leachates : a signature of their degradation: Analytical aspects & toxicological considerations
Abstract : Phthalic acid diesters comprise a large group of organic compounds that are used to manufacture a variety of products all over the world, and this has raised concerns about the fate of these compounds in the environment. The diester-containing products often end up in landfills, where they are degraded by various micro-organisms, which gives rise to transient intermediates such as phthalic acid monoesters and ortho-phthalic acid. 9. Bicuspid aortic valve-associated aortopathy unraveling the molecular signature
Abstract : Patients with bicuspid aortic valve (BAV) have an increased risk of developing ascending aortic aneurysm compared with individuals with a tricuspid aortic valve (TAV). A crucial factor involved in vascular remodeling during aneurysm development is transforming growth factor-β (TGF-β) and impaired signaling of this pathway can alter important extracellular matrix (ECM) protein such us fibronectin and collagen and thereby explaining the increased aneurysm susceptibility of BAV patients. 10. A Statistical Approach to Estimate Thermal Performance and Energy Renovation of Multifamily Buildings : Case study on a Swedish city district
Abstract : Several climate and energy goals have been set in the European Union, one of them being to increase energy efficiency. In Sweden, a large potential for increased energy efficiency lies in the residential and service sectors, which account for about 40% of total energy use. READ MORE
