21. Tungsten-Based Nanocomposites by Chemical Methods
Abstract : Tungsten based-materials find use in many different fields of engineering, particularly in applications where good temperature and/or erosion resistance is important. Nanostructuring of tungsten composites is expected to dramatically improve the materials’ properties and enhancing the performance in present applications but also enabling totally new possibilities. 22. Spark plasma sintering and deformation behaviour of Titanium and Titanium/TiB2Spark plasma sintering and deformation behaviour of Titanium and Titanium/TiB2 composites
Abstract : Titanium has been used as a model substance to study how it behaves in a SPS apparatus when heating rate and/or pressure were varied during the sintering and deformation process. The sintering and deformation of Ti in SPS were compared with that occurring in the conventional hot pressing (HP) in order to reveal if there are any positive effects added by the use of SPS. 23. Silicon Carbide Reinforced Alumina and Mullite Ceramics
Abstract : The aim of this work was to develop homogeneous ceramic nanocomposite materials with good thermal and structural stability as well as good mechanical properties. The development of microstructure was related to the material properties. READ MORE

24. Biomaterial Components Prepared by Titanium Powder Technology
Abstract : The main objectives of this work were twofold: First, to determine if a pressed-powder method could be used to fabricate titanium dental copings, and to line out what problems or benefits this new method would have. Second, to test if high velocity compaction of titanium powder could be used to form biomaterial components such as copings or dental implants. READ MORE

25. Nanostructured Tungsten Materials by Chemical Methods
Abstract : Tungsten based-materials are used in many different technical fields, particularly in applications requiring good temperature and/or erosion resistance. Nanostructuring of tungsten alloys and composites has the potential to dramatically improve the materials’ properties, enhancing the performance in present applications or enabling totally new possibilities.
