  1. 1. Moisture properties of self-levelling flooring compounds

    Author : Anders Anderberg; Avdelningen för Byggnadsmaterial; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; fukttransport; secondary emissions; SLC; alkali; self-levelling; moisture transport; diffusion coefficient; självnivellerande golv; flooring screed; fuktegenskaper; flooring compound; sorption isotherm;

    Abstract : Self-levelling flooring compounds (SLC) are used to level substrates (mainly concrete slabs) before applying final floor coverings. Although it is an extensively used product, only limited research has so far been published concerning their moisture properties. READ MORE

  2. 2. Identification, Characterization and Evolution of Membrane-bound Proteins

    Author : Pär J. Höglund; Helgi B. Schiöth; Robert Fredriksson; Gert Vriend; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; G protein-coupled receptor; GPCR; Solute Carriers; SLC; Bioinformatics; Evolution; Rhodopsin; Adhesion; Phylogeny; Pharmacology; Farmakologi;

    Abstract : Membrane proteins constitute approximately 30% of all genes in the human genome and two large families of membrane proteins are G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) and Solute Carriers (SLCs) with about 800 and 380 human genes, respectively.In Papers I, II and IV, we report 16 novel human Adhesion GPCRs found by searches in NCBI and Celera databases. 3. 3. Footwall stability in SLC mining

    Author : Mikael Svartsjaern; David Saiang; Andreas Eitzenberger; Doug Stead; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Mining and Rock Engineering; Gruv- och Berganläggningsteknik;

    Abstract : This thesis is based on a case study of the Kiirunavaara sublevel cave (SLC) mine. It focuses on footwall stability and damage development in the mining infrastructure on mine scale. Damage to the infrastructure is mappable for the full height of the footwall by access through decommissioned infrastructure associated with earlier mining stages. READ MORE

  4. 4. Characterization of Centrally Expressed Solute Carriers : Histological and Functional Studies with Transgenic Mice

    Author : Sahar Roshanbin; Robert Fredriksson; David Engblom; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; SLC; Solute carriers; Amino acid transporter; PAT; B0AT2; mTORC1; Medical Science; Medicinsk vetenskap;

    Abstract : The Solute Carrier (SLC) superfamily is the largest group of membrane-bound transporters, currently with 456 transporters in 52 families. Much remains unknown about the tissue distribution and function of many of these transporters. READ MORE

  5. 5. Functional Characterization of Centrally Expressed Solute Carriers and G Protein-Coupled Receptors

    Author : Smitha Sreedharan; Helgi Schiöth; Robert Fredriksson; David Engblom; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; GPCR; SLC; Gpr153; Gpr162; Slc17; Slc38; Neuroscience; Neurovetenskap; Neuroscience; Neurovetenskap;

    Abstract : Transmembrane proteins are gatekeepers of the cells; controlling the transport of substrates as well as communicating signals among cells and between the organelles and cytosol. Solute carriers (SLC) and G protein-coupled receptors (GPCR) are the largest family of membrane transporters and membrane receptors respectively. READ MORE
