21. Dialogues on the Net - Power structures in asynchronous discussions in the context of a web based teacher training course
Abstract : The general aim of this thesis is to investigate the interaction processes that occur in group dialogues when teacher students work in small groups, using net based asynchronous dialogues to solve a problem in the area of environmental sustainability. More specifically, the interest is to determine whether students’ net based dialogues give rise to patterns of dominance/subordination similar to those observed in face-to-face situations. READ MORE

24. Structure of Small Icosahedral Viruses
Abstract : This thesis presents structural studies on the plant virus Ryegrass mottle virus (RGMoV), the bacteriophage φCb5, and the icosahedral particles and octahedral crystal assembly of a bacteriophage MS2 coat protein mutant. In contrast to other sobemoviruses, the RGMoV coat protein is missing several residues in two of the loop regions important for capsid assembly. READ MORE

25. The advantages of being small : Glycosyltransferases in many dimensions and glycolipid synthesis in Mycoplasma Pneumoniae
Abstract : The synthesis and breakdown of sugars is one of the most important functions in Nature. Consequently, sugar structures are used both as energy storage and as building blocks to stabilise and protect the cell. The formation of these structures is performed by glycosyltransferases (GT), an enzyme group structurally conserved within all kingdoms. READ MORE
