1. Small-Scale Production of Fuel-Cell Hydrogen
Abstract : The work presented here aims at producing hydrogen for proton-exchange fuel-cell applications from hydrocarbons. This thesis describes an integrated catalytic converter comprising a steam-reforming reactor (heat of reaction supplied by catalytic combustion), a water-gas shift reactor and a preferential oxidation of carbon monoxide reactor, and the work performed on the fuel processing catalysts therein. 2. Fire Dynamics in Multi-Room Compartment Fires
Abstract : Fire dynamics in multi-room compartments are explored in this thesis and new methods to study conditions in rooms adjacent to the room of fire origin are presented. Simple and transparent engineering methods can create good possibilities for understanding different complex phenomena present in fire science. READ MORE

3. Fatigue crack growth experiments and analyses - from small scale to large scale yielding at constant and variable amplitude loading
Abstract : This thesis is on fatigue crack growth experiments and assessments of fatigue crack growth rates. Both constant and variable amplitude loads in two different materials are considered; a nickel based super-alloy Inconel 718 and a stainless steel 316L. READ MORE

4. Reactive filter materials for ammonium and phosphorus sorption in small scale wastewater treatment
Abstract : Existing small scale wastewater treatment systems in Nordic countries have generally low treatment efficiency regarding phosphorus and nitrogen. Even though only 15% of the Swedish population is connected to on-site wastewater treatment systems, the total discharge of phosphorus from these systems exceeds the total discharge from all municipal treatment plants in Sweden. 5. The Aerodynamic Correlation of a Scale Model with a Full Size Car
Abstract : Reducing the Worlds consumption of energy has become an important part of the current political and environmental debate. The reasons are obvious: World population is increasing, continued growth in living standards, finite availability of resources and finally green house gas emissions from energy production have to be brought down to stabilize temperatures.
