6. Sorting nexin 9 in clathrin-mediated endocytosis
Abstract : Clathrin-mediated endocytosis is a process by which cells can internalise diverse molecules such as nutrients, antigens and signalling-surface receptors. The creation of clathrin-coated vesicles demands interplay between the plasma membrane lipids, cargo molecules and the proteins that build up the coat. READ MORE

7. Cell Sorting in Pillar Arrays based on Electrokinetics and Morphology
Abstract : Deterministic Lateral Displacement (DLD) is a method capable of sorting cells based on size where mechanicalinteractions between a sufficiently large particle and obstacles in a microfludic pillar array force the particle tofollow a different trajectory than their smaller counterparts, resulting in continuous lateral separation. To extendthe capability of DLD, electrical interaction between particles and pillars can be employed to complement themechanical interaction, making electrical/dielectric properties additional parameters for sorting. 8. Sport-sort : sorting algorithms and sport tournaments
Abstract : Arrange a really short, thrilling and fair tournament! Execute parallel sorting in a machine of a new architecture! The author shows how these problems are connected. He designs several new tournament schemes, and analyses them both in theory and in extensive simulations. He uses only elementary mathematical and statistical methods. READ MORE

9. Organising Product Recovery in Business Networks
Abstract : The licentiate thesis includes an analysis of different ways of organising product recovery. The aim of product recovery is raw materials conservation, which is strongly related to sustainable development. READ MORE

10. Concurrent Algorithms and Data Structures for Many-Core Processors
Abstract : The convergence of highly parallel many-core graphics processors with conventional multi-core processorsis becoming a reality. To allow algorithms and data structures to scale efficiently on these new platforms, several important factors needs to be considered. READ MORE
