Abstract : Bone conduction devices (BCDs) rely on the transmission of sound in form of vibrations generated by a transducer to the inner ear via the skull and surrounding soft tissues. Abstract : The following thesis aims to give more insight into the functional and structural response of the central auditory system to congenital unilateral ear canal atresia (UCA) and the accompanying asymmetric hearing with conductive hearing loss on the atretic side.
