16. Space-time processing and equalization for wireless communications
Abstract : In this thesis several aspects of space-time processing and equalization for wire-less communications are treated. We discuss several different methods of improving estimates of space-time channels, such as temporal parametrization, spatial parametrization, reduced rank channel estimation, bootstrap channel estimation, and joint estimation of an FIR channel and an AR noise model. 17. Utilizing Channel State Information in Space-Time Coding : Performance Limits and Transmission Techniques
Abstract : This thesis deals with performance limits and transmissiontechniques for a wireless communication link where at least thetransmitter is equipped with an antenna array and moreover hasaccess to possibly imperfect channel state information. An antenna array on the transmit side provides the systemwith an extra spatial dimension that can be utilized for codingboth in the spatial as well as the temporal domain. 18. See and Be Seen : An Inquiry into the Role of Public Space in Combating Loneliness
Abstract : Loneliness in cities has been an issue of great concern in public discourse, particularly during and in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic. The detrimental impact of loneliness on health and well-being is well documented and has recently become a rising priority for governments worldwide. READ MORE

19. Serially Concatenated Space-Time Coded Continuous Phase Modulation
Abstract : Certain problems associated with reliable digital wireless communication over a frequency-flat slow Rayleigh fadingchannel are treated, when the transmitted signal is modulated using continuous phase modulation (CPM) due to the desirable properties of CPM. The primary focus of attention is on detection strategies, and the thesis proposes iterative detection algorithms for CPM signals transmitted over frequency-flat slow Rayleigh fading channels. 20. Possibility-Space and Its Imaginative Variations in Alice Munro's Short Stories
Abstract : With its perennial interest in the seemingly ordinary lives of small-town people, Alice Munro’s fiction displays a deceptively simple surface reality that on closer scrutiny reveals intricate levels of unexpected complexity about the fundamentals of human experience: love, choice, mortality, faith and the force of language. This study takes as its main purpose the exploration of Munro’s stories in terms of the intricacy of emotions in the face of commonplace events of life and their emerging possibilities. READ MORE
