16. Energy use in multi-family dwellings : measurements and methods of analysis
Abstract : In 2001, multi-family dwellings were built at nine properties in Västra hamnen, Malmö, Sweden. Several well known Swedish architects were involved in designing the buildings, hence they reflect modern architecture. Prior to the inauguration, the buildings were displayed at the international housing exhibition Bo01. READ MORE

17. Magnetic Reconnection in Space Plasmas : Cluster Spacecraft Observations
Abstract : Magnetic reconnection is a universal process occurring at boundaries between magnetized plasmas, where changes in the topology of the magnetic field lead to the transport of charged particles across the boundaries and to the conversion of electromagnetic energy into kinetic and thermal energy of the particles. Reconnection occurs in laboratory plasmas, in solar system plasmas and it is considered to play a key role in many other space environments such as magnetized stars and accretion disks around stars and planets under formation. 18. District Heating and CHP : Local Possibilities for Global Climate Change Mitigation
Abstract : Global warming, in combination with increasing energy demand and higher energy prices, makes it necessary to change the energy use. To secure the energy supply and to develop sustainable societies, construction of energy-efficient systems is at the same time most vital. READ MORE

19. Technical solutions for low-temperature heat emission in buildings
Abstract : The European Union is planning to greatly decrease energy consumption during the coming decades. The ultimate goal is to create sustainable communities that are energy neutral. One way of achieving this challenging goal may be to use efficient hydronic (water-based) heating systems supported by heat pumps. READ MORE

20. Diagnosing Fuel Ions in Fusion Plasmas using Neutron Emission Spectroscopy
Abstract : Neutron emission spectra, measured with the time of flight spectrometer TOFOR, at the joint European torus (JET) are presented in this thesis. TOFOR has been in use since 2005, routinely measuring the neutron emission from JET plasmas. READ MORE
