  1. 1. Spatiotemporal carrier dynamics in graphene

    Author : Roland Jago; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; spatiotemporal dynamics; density matrix formalism; graphene; relaxation dynamics; carrier multiplication; Bloch equations; photoconduction effect; bolometric effect;

    Abstract : Graphene as an atomically thin material exhibits remarkable optical and electronic properties that suggest its technological application in novel optoelectronic devices, such as graphene-based photodetectors and lasers. To understand the properties of such devices on a microscopic level, we study the interplay of optical excitation, carrier-carrier, carrier-phonon, and carrierphoton scattering as well as diffusion processes. 3. 3. Bayesian Models for Spatiotemporal Data from Transportation Networks

    Author : Héctor Rodriguez Déniz; Mattias Villani; Augusto Voltes-Dorta; Yusak Susilo; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Bayesian statistics; Transportation networks; Spatiotemporal data; Machine learning; Bayesiansk statistik; Transportnätverk; Spatiotemporal data; Maskininlärning;

    Abstract : Urbanization has caused a historical transformation at a global scale, and humanity is moving towards a fully connected society where cities will concentrate population, infrastructure and economic activity. A key element in the cities’ infrastructure is the transportation system, as it facilitates the mobility of people and goods. READ MORE

  4. 4. Spatiotemporal characterization of the human proteome

    Author : Diana Mahdessian; Emma Lundberg; Arne Lindqvist; KTH; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Spatial proteomics; Spatiotemporal proteomics; Immunofluorescence; Human Protein Atlas; Cell compartments; Single cell proteomics; Cell cycle; Cancer;

    Abstract : Characterizing the molecular components of the basic unit of life; the cell, is crucial for a complete understanding of human biology. The cell is divided into compartments to create a suitable environment for the resident proteins to fulfill their functions. READ MORE

  5. 5. Spatiotemporal streamflow variability in a boreal landscape : Importance of landscape composition for catchment hydrological functioning

    Author : Reinert Huseby Karlsen; Jan Seibert; Kevin Bishop; Thomas Grabs; Sarah E. Godsey; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; streamflow; catchment hydrology; boreal; water balance; spatiotemporal variability; landscape analysis; climate change; recession curve; Hydrology; Hydrologi;

    Abstract : The understanding of how different parts of a landscape contribute to streamflow by storing and releasing water has long been a central issue in hydrology. Knowledge about what controls streamflow dynamics across landscapes can further our understanding of how catchments store and release water, facilitate predictions for ungauged catchments, and improve the management of water quality and resources.
