  2. 2. Labeling, tagging and charging - Long standing issues in bioenergetics addressed with novel techniques

    University dissertation from Stockholm : KTH

    Author : Tobias Gustavsson; Lund University.; Lunds universitet.; [2008]
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; WrbA; site specific labeling; fusion proteins; spectro electrochemistry; succinate quinone reductase; NADH quinone oxidoredictase; cytochromes; Respiratory chain;

    Abstract : Understanding the molecular details of bioenergetic processes is fundamentally important. Defects in the mitochondrial energy metabolism can lead to untimely apoptosis and thus cause serious degenerative human diseases. READ MORE

  3. 3. Development of ATR-FTIR Kretschmann Spectroscopy for In situ Studies of Metal / Polymer Interfaces and its Intergration with EIS for Exposure to Corrosive Conditions

    University dissertation from Stockholm : KTH

    Author : Maria Öhman; KTH.; [2010]
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURAL SCIENCES Chemistry Physical chemistry Surface and colloid chemistry; NATURVETENSKAP Kemi Fysikalisk kemi Yt- och kolloidkemi;

    Abstract : The environmental stability of a metal / polymer interface is essential for the durability and mechanical stability of constructions in several important areas such as the automotive, offshore, building and aerospace industries. The protective capability of a polymer film is strongly connected to its barrier properties, but the transport of water and corrosive constituents through the polymer and the subsequent processes at the metal surface are complicated to analyse in detail.
