21. Geochemical modelling of acid mine drainage in mill tailings : Quantification of kinetic processes from laboratory to field scale
Abstract : Assessment of the potentially acidic, heavy metal-ladenleachates that leave deposits of sulfide ore mill tailings andevaluation of various possible options for mill tailingremediation are scientific problems of increasing practicalimportance. High costs may be associated with the mill tailingremediation, not least after recent changes in Swedish andEuropean environmental legislation. READ MORE

22. The chemistry of flotation activation and depression of iron-containing sulphide minerals
Abstract : Thermodynamic calculations, electrochemical techniques, flotation and adsorption tests were used to study the physico-chemical principles involved in the flotation, activation and depression of the common ironcontaining sulphide minerals. Thermodynamic calculations on iron-xanthate-sulphur-water systems indicate that insoluble ferric hydroxo- xanthates can be obtained at a very low xanthate concentration in the neutral to weakly alkaline pH range, in which no liquid dixanthogen is formed. 23. Sveconorwegian metallogenesis in Sweden
Abstract : Two main ore types are found in the Sveconorwegian Orogen in southwestern Sweden (Southwest Scandinavian Domain). One of them comprises stratabound Cu mineralizations in the Dal group, located west of lake Vänern. READ MORE

24. The Älgträsk intrusion-related Au (Cu, Zn) deposit, Skellefte district, northern Sweden : Relationships between ore forming events in the Palaeoproterozoic Jörn intrusive complex
Abstract : Palaeoproterozoic intrusion hosted and intrusion related deposits such as the Älgträsk Au±Cu±Zn, Åkerberg Au, Älgliden Cu–Ni±Au, and the porphyry style Järvträsk Cu±Mo±Zn, Granberg Cu±Mo and Tallberg Cu–Au±Mo deposits are situated in the northern part of the Skellefte District, northern Sweden. These deposits are all hosted within the oldest unit of the Jörn intrusive complex (JIC). READ MORE

25. The origin of the Ryllshyttan stratabound Zn-Pb-Ag-(Cu) + magnetite deposit, Garpenberg, Bergslagen, Sweden
Abstract : Ryllshyttan is a Palaeoproterozoic lower amphibolite-facies poly-metamorphosed stratabound Zn-Pb-Ag-(Cu) + magnetite deposit. It is located in the Garpenberg inlier of the Bergslagen mining district of southern Sweden and produced ~ 1 Mt sulphide ore and ~ 0.4 Mt magnetite ore from the early 16th century until 1944.
