21. Magnetodynamics of pseudo spin valves investigated using co-planar waveguide and spin torque ferromagnetic resonance techniques
Abstract : Nanocontact spin-torque nano-oscillators (NC-STNOs), based on magnetic multilayers, can generate a wide range of highly nonlinear localized and propagating spin wave modes for use in magnonics. In this thesis, we study some aspects of these structures from the fundamental physics point of view using the spin torque ferromagnetic resonance technique (ST-FMR) and conventional broadband FMR technique. 22. Nanoscale spin dynamics in ferromagnetic/normal-metal heterostructures for spin-logic application : Engineering of spin-torque efficiency in Co2FeAl/β-Ta and Ru/FeCo/Ru multi-layers
Abstract : In the present information age, people across the globe generate an enormous digital footprint. Therefore, it is necessary to store and process the information in an elegant way. Spin-logic circuits are being considered potential candidates beyond CMOS integrated computing due to high clock speed, non-volatility, and higher logical efficiency. READ MORE

23. Charge-Spin Conversion and Electronic Transport in Two-Dimensional Materials and van der Waals Heterostructures
Abstract : Applications related to artificial intelligence (AI), 5G communication, cloud computing, Internet of Things (IoT) will necessitate wide range of data collection, communication and processing. Current charge-based technology using conventional materials suffers adverse effects with down-scaling the device size and has limited efficiency in meeting the future demands for computation and data storage. 24. Strongly non-linear magnetization dynamics in nano-structures: perturbations, multi-mode generation, and topological droplets
Abstract : Spin torque oscillators (STOs) are magnetic nano-devices in which strongly non-linear magnetodynamic phenomena can be excited by current. In this thesis, we study some of these phenomena by means of micromagnetic simulations, analytical calculations, and electrical characterization. Three main subjects are discussed: 1. READ MORE

25. Single-Electron Tunneling Spectroscopy in Magnetic Nanoparticles and Molecular Magnets
Abstract : This thesis deals with single-electron tunneling in transistor-like devices in which the central electrode is either a metal nanoparticle (possibly ferromagnetic) or a molecular magnet. The investigated systems split into two different categories, depending on the size of the central island. READ MORE
