  1. 1. Automatic Parallelization of Simulation Code from Equation Based Simulation Languages

    Author : Peter Aronsson; Peter Fritzson; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; state-of-the-art equation; object oriented modeling; automatic parallelization tool; data dependency graph; clustering algorithms; Computer science; Datavetenskap;

    Abstract : Modern state-of-the-art equation based object oriented modeling languages such as Modelica have enabled easy modeling of large and complex physical systems. When such complex models are to be simulated, simulation tools typically perform a number of optimizations on the underlying set of equations in the modeled system, with the goal of gaining better simulation performance by decreasing the equation system size and complexity. 2. 2. Integrated Model-Driven Development Environments for Equation-Based Object-Oriented Languages

    Author : Adrian Pop; Peter Fritzson; Hans Vangheluwe; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Integrated Environments; Modeling; Simulation; Equation-based Object-oriented Languages; Debugging; UML-SysML; Computer science; Datalogi;

    Abstract : Integrated development environments are essential for efficient realization of complex industrial products, typically consisting of both software and hardware components. Powerful equation-based object-oriented (EOO) languages such as Modelica are successfully used for modeling and virtual prototyping increasingly complex physical systems and components, whereas software modeling approaches like UML, especially in the form of domain specific language subsets, are increasingly used for software systems modeling. 3. 3. Meta-Languages and Semantics for Equation-Based Modeling and Simulation

    Author : David Broman; Peter Fritzson; Jeremy Siek; Thomas Schön; Björn Lisper; Walid Taha; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Meta-language; semantics; EOO; Modelica; equations; modeling; simulation; MKL; Computer science; Datalogi;

    Abstract : Performing computational experiments on mathematical models instead of building and testing physical prototypes can drastically reduce the develop cost for complex systems such as automobiles, aircraft, and powerplants. In the past three decades, a new category of equation-based modeling languages has appeared that is based on acausal and object-oriented modeling principles, enabling good reuse of models. READ MORE

  4. 4. Tools for Understanding, Debugging, and Simulation Performance Improvement of Equation-based Models

    Author : Martin Sjölund; Peter Fritzson; Dirk Zimmer; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Simulation; modelling; debugging; profiling; optimisation; parallelism; Modelica;

    Abstract : Equation-based object-oriented (EOO) modelling languages provide a convenient, declarative method for describing models of cyber-physical systems.Because of the ease of use of EOO languages, large and complex models can be built with limited effort. READ MORE

  5. 5. New Results on Triangulation, Polynomial Equation Solving and Their Application in Global Localization

    Author : Klas Josephson; Matematik LTH; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Abstract : This thesis addresses the problem of global localization from images. The overall goal is to find the location and the direction of a camera given an image taken with the camera relative a 3D world model. In order to solve the problem several subproblems have to be handled. READ MORE
