21. Development of Risk Oriented Accident Analysis Methodology for Assessment of Effectiveness of Severe Accident Management Strategy in Nordic BWR
Abstract : Nordic Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) design employs ex-vessel debris coolability as a severe accident management strategy (SAM). In case of a severe accident, the debris ejected from the vessel are expected to fragment, quench and form a debris bed, which is coolable by a natural circulation of water. READ MORE

22. Computational methods for Bayesian inference in macroeconomic models
Abstract : The New Macroeconometrics may succinctly be described as the application of Bayesian analysis to the class of macroeconomic models called Dynamic Stochastic General Equilibrium (DSGE) models. A prominent local example from this research area is the development and estimation of the RAMSES model, the main macroeconomic model in use at Sveriges Riksbank. READ MORE

23. Damage evolution in laminates with manufacturing defects
Abstract : In this thesis, experimental investigations and theoretical studies on the stochastic matrix cracking evolution under static loading in composite laminates with manufacturing defects are presented. The presented work demonstrates a methodology that accounts for the statistically distributed defects in damage mechanics models for the assessment of the integrity of composites and for the structural design of composites. 24. Shaped by the past: Resilience and ecological memory in microbial communities
Abstract : Microorganisms play a fundamental role in global biogeochemical cycles, which are increasingly being altered by the current rapid changes in the environment, threatening biodiversity and the provisioning of key ecosystem services. This thesis addresses key uncertainties surrounding the assessment of ecological resilience and the role of previous disturbances in shaping the stability especially of microbial communities to future disturbances.
