21. Structural evolution of two ore-bearing Palaeoproterozoic metasupracrustal belts in the Kiruna area, Northwestern Fennoscandian Shield
Abstract : In this project, two key study areas in the northwestern Fennoscandian Shield are under investigation. The “Western supracrustal belt” and “Central Kiruna area” are both located along lithotectonically comparable Rhyacian-Orosirian metasupracrustal belts and both areas are characterized by iron oxide-apatite (IOA) and iron oxide-copper-gold (IOCG)-style mineralizations and related hydrothermal alterations. 22. Shipborne geophysical study of an Ordovician-Silurian carbonate platform, Fårö - Hiiumaa area, northeastern Baltic Sea
Abstract : The lithological-stratigraphical subdivision, the internal structure and the present relief of the Lower Paleozoic bedrock sequence was investigated by means of high resolution shallow marine seismic reflection profiling in the northeastern Baltic Sea.The Cambrian, as well as the lowermost Silurian layers, show rapidly changing lithologies and thicknesses and provide no trans-Baltic seismic reflectors. 23. Early structural and metamorphic evolution of the Scandinavian Caledonides: a study of the eclogite-bearing Seve Nappe Complex at the Arctic Circle, Sweden
Abstract : In the Seve Nappe Complex of the Swedish Caledonides, coronitic diabases pass into eclogites; sometimes the transition occurs within one and the same boudin. Calculated pressure-temperature conditions for the eclogite facies stage are 20-27 kbar and 650-750°. READ MORE

24. Cellulose in Quaternary Ammonium-based Solvents: Dissolution, Modification and Coagulation
Abstract : Processing cellulose through dissolution and regeneration is essential for many applications, yet challenges are posed because it does not readily melt or dissolve in commonly used aqueous and organic solvents. Consequently, extensive efforts have been devoted to developing novel and efficient solvents for cellulose, as well as exploring new functionalization routes. READ MORE

25. Revealing invisible strain : Magnetic Fabric Analysis as Strain Indicator in Analogue Models and Nature
Abstract : Strain is accommodated by folding, thrusting and an “invisible” component, known as penetrative strain. Magnetic fabric analysis allows for identification and quantification of this imperceivable strain. In this thesis, magnetic fabric analysis is applied to quantify strain in analogue sandbox models.
