  1. 11. Structural-acoustic analysis of wall-to-floor joints in timber-framed housing

    Author : Åsa Bolmsvik; Torbjörn Ekevid; Göran Sandberg; Växjö universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Acoustics; Akustik; Building engineering; Byggnadsteknik; Byggteknik; Civil engineering;

    Abstract : Even though a building meets the regulations with respect to impact sound, structures with wooden frames may receive complaints from the inhabitants due to structure-borne sound in the lower frequencies. In this thesis measuring methods that are more precise than the traditional measuring methods have been used to see if they could give a better knowledge about flanking transmission in the low frequencies in timber-framed structures. 2. 12. Noise from wind turbines

    Author : Olivier Fégeant; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; masking; vibration transmission; diffraction; ambient noise; pseudo-noise; cylindrical shell. Perturbation methods; structural mobility; axoustic outdoor measurement; Building engineering; Byggnadsteknik;

    Abstract : A rapid growth of installed wind power capacity is expectedin the next few years. However, the siting of wind turbines ona large scale raises concerns about their environmental impact,notably with respect to noise. READ MORE

  3. 13. Statistical Energy Analysis and the Individual Case

    Author : Claes Fredö; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
