  1. 1. Building a Bosonic Microwave Qubit

    Author : Marina Kudra; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; 3D cavity; qubit; cubic phase state; continuous variable; circuit QED; bosonic codes; GKP-state; superconducting circuits;

    Abstract : Superconducting circuits is a promising platform for quantum computing. Quantum information is usually stored in discrete two-level qubits e.g. in transmon qubits. READ MORE

  2. 2. Quantum Optics with Propagating Microwaves in Superconducting Circuits

    Author : Io Chun Hoi; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; transmon; second-order correlation function; qubit; microwave photons; photon router; superconducting artificial atom; Autler-Townes splitting; quantum network; SQUID; superconducting circuits; cross-Kerr effect; antibunching; Mollow triplet; Josephson junction; quantum optics;

    Abstract : We address recent advances in quantum optics with propagating microwavesin superconducting circuits. This research field exploits on the fact that the coupling between a superconducting artificial atom and propagating microwave photons in a one-dimensional (1D) open transmission line can be made strong enough to observe quantum effects, without using any cavity to confine the microwave photons. 3. 3. Controllable coupling of superconducting qubits and implementation of quantum gate protocols

    Author : Margareta Wallquist; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Controllable Qubit-Coupling; Single Cooper-Pair Box; Josephson Effect; Quantum Gate; Superconducting Circuit; Quantum Computer; Qubit; Quantum Electrical Circuit;

    Abstract : The concept of a quantum computer was invented in the beginning of the 1980s as a quantum generalization of the reversible classical computer. After discoveries in the middle of the 1990s of quantum algorithms, which wouldsolve some problems considered intractable for classical computers, the field of quantum computing has developed rapidly. 5. 5. Engineering superconducting qubits : towards a quantum machine

    Author : Joachim Sjöstrand; Anders Karlhede; Denis Vion; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Physics; Fysik;

    Abstract : A quantum computer is an information processing machine, much like an ordinary classical computer, but its function is based on quantum mechanical principles. To be able to construct such a machine would be a fantastic accomplishment---to have total control over a quantum system is a dream for both physicists and science-fiction enthusiasts. READ MORE
