21. In situ Studies of Platinum Catalyst Sintering
Abstract : The damaging effect of pollutants from combustion engine exhaust on human health and environment is well recognized. Since the 70s, the three-way catalytic converter (TWC) has substantially improved the urban air quality by simultaneous conversion of CO, NOx and unburned hydrocarbons to O2, N2 and H2O. READ MORE

22. Studies of catalyst sintering during operating conditions
Abstract : The damaging effect of pollutants from exhaust gas of combustion engines on the human health and the environment is well recognized. Since the 70s, the three-way catalytic converter (TWC) has substantially improved the urban air quality by simultaneous conversion of CO, NOx and unburned hydrocarbons to O2 , N2 , CO2 and H2O. 23. Thermal conductivity of wide and ultra-wide bandgap semiconductors
Abstract : This PhD thesis presents experimental and theoretical studies of the thermal conductivity of wide and ultra-wide bandgap semiconductors including GaN, AlN, β-Ga2O3 binary compounds, and AlxGa1−xN, ScxAl1−xN, YxAl1−xN ternary alloys. Thermal conductivity measurements are conducted using the transient thermoreflectance (TTR) technique and the results are interpreted using analytical models based on the solution of the Boltzmann transport equation (BTE) within the relaxation time approximation (RTA). 24. Being connected to the world through a robot
Abstract : Robotic telepresence systems enable humans to be present physically and socially in a distant environment. Robotic telepresence technology is the latest in the line of communication technology development. The unique feature of such technology is that its users can act in a distant environment and interact with other people through these systems. READ MORE

25. Retargeting of an incremental code generator
Abstract : Incremental programming environments are becoming increasingly popular. Earlier systems are mostly based on interpretation. DICE is an incremental programming environment based on incremental compilation only. In this thesis the retargeting of the code generator from PDP-11 to DEC-20 is described. READ MORE
