6. Cluster Observations and Theoretical Explanations of Broadband Waves in the Auroral Region
Abstract : Broadband extremely low-frequency wave emissions below the ion plasma frequency have been observed by a number of spacecraft and rockets on auroral field lines. The importance of these broadband emissions for transverse ion heating and electron acceleration in the auroral regions is now reasonably well established. READ MORE

7. Molecular Adsorption on Self Assembled Monolayers studied by Surface Acoustic Waves and Infrared Spectroscopy
Abstract : Chemical sensors based on the selective absorption of gas/vapors in polymer layers rely on molecular interactions. Details of the mechanisms involved can be obtained by studying the adsorption on well defined model organic surfaces. READ MORE

8. Lamb wave evaluation of concrete plates
Abstract : This thesis is about the application of Lamb waves for non-destructive evaluation of plate-like concrete structures under one-sided access test condition using a portable equipment consisting of an accelerometer and impact hammer. With this type of equipment and based on array signal processing, the impact-echo (IE) method can be extended with measurements of surface waves; this extension allows an evaluation with Lamb waves. 9. Quantum optics with artificial atoms
Abstract : Quantum optics is the study of interaction between atoms and photons. In the eight papers of this thesis, we study a number of systems where artificial atoms (here, superconducting circuits emulating the level structure of an atom) enable us to either improve on known concepts or experiments from quantum optics with natural atoms, or to explore entirely new regimes which have not been possible to reach in such experiments. 10. Classical and Quantum Correlations in Microwave Frequency Combs
Abstract : Denna avhandling undersöker korrelationer i frekvensdomänen, av både klassiskt och kvantmekaniskt ursprung, i icke-linjära mikrovågskretsar. Syftet är att utveckla en kompakt metod för att generera kvantmekaniska korrelationer mellan harmoniska oscillatorer (s.k. READ MORE
